The requirement

Different uses, shared infrastructure

Agora combines Class A warehouses, street-level retail, showrooms and offices. Offices and shops need internet access and a local area network. Warehouses need connectivity for handheld terminals, scanners and WMS operations. Security staff need camera monitoring and access control between tenant areas.

The project’s task was to provide shared IT infrastructure for these uses.

Project scope

Diagram of project scope: internet access over fibre and copper, structured cabling and a local network for offices, retail units, showrooms and warehouses; Wi‑Fi with roaming in the warehouses for terminals and scanners; Hiwatch cameras feeding a central security station; access control on the floors for tenant areas.
  1. 01Cabling and internet access

A structured cabling system was designed and installed, covering 90% of the building’s cable routes. It provides the basis for a local area network and internet access over fibre and copper.

  2. 02Warehouse Wi‑Fi

A network with seamless roaming was deployed to support staff and equipment moving between access points. It provides connectivity for terminals and scanners used with a WMS.

  3. 03Video surveillance

Hiwatch cameras cover the perimeter and internal spaces. Video feeds are brought together at a central security station.

  4. 04Access control

An access control system was installed on the floors to manage access to different tenants’ areas.
